If you cringe every time someone suggests a recipe that involves making crust this might be your new favorite recipe! (Oh, you might want to be a mushroom fan too.)

Artichoke Frittata
I love artichokes they’re fun to eat and tasty, but way too expensive. I’ve tried to solve this problem by planting them in my garden and failed. Miserably.
Red Wine Portobello
Grandma Joyce was a practical lady. She enjoyed cooking, but, I think she enjoyed simple and quick meals the most. This makes a lot of her recipes great for most everyday cooks as they don’t have time to sit back and watch their dough rise, let alone watch their water boil. What I love about her recipes is that they include mostly fresh ingredients but they rarely include a long list. These are perfect simple, weeknight meals. If you make them a few times you might even stop relying on the recipe. Being able to wing it is so liberating!
Balboa Island Curry Sauce
Balboa Island is where both Grandma Joyce and Great-Grandma Mary spent their summers. They would sit on the tiny little patios and watch walkers pass by on the boardwalk, boaters sail through the channel and grand kids dig in the sand.
Cheese Easy
I wouldn’t have expected this one from Grandma Joyce…I don’t really remember her as a ketchup kind of girl. To be honest, I snickered a bit as I was making this less than impressive dish. I’m not a ketchup girl myself, especially not the kind that likes ketchup on her eggs!
